Product Sourcing
Before we move on, I thought it might be useful here to briefly discuss product sourcing to stock your online store.

Product sources that can be utilized for stocking an online shop are...
Wholesalers
The downside of buying in from wholesalers is you normally have to buy in quantity in order to get appropriate discounts, or low cost delivery, and you then have to store the goods somewhere, which can easily overflow your garage or spare room very quickly, not to mention that quite a large amount of cash will get tied up at the same time.

Dropshippers
Dropshipping is a mechanism where someone else (a type of wholesaler) holds a range of stock, and you buy items from them to fill your orders.

The goods you order are not delivered to you, they are shipped by the drop ship wholesaler directly to your customer in unbranded packaging.

Drop shipping is a very popular method of stocking an online store, and won't tie up cash or the need to hold your own stock of products.. You don't even need to package the order, or go to the Post Office either because the drop shipper does all of that for you!
