Modify Name Servers

If you are hosting a website on servers other than those operated by UKTNET you will need to modify the nameservers associated with your domain according to the following instructions:

Log into the UKTNET Customer Portal https://www.uktnet.co.uk/portal/

  1. Select 'My Domains' from the menu at the top of the page
  2. Locate the domain you want to work with, and click the red 'View' button
  3. Locate the Nameserver section (lower part of the page)
  4. Remove any existing name server names and replace with the name servers given to you by your website host
  5. Click the 'Save' button.

Note: The change of name servers will take 12 - 48 hours to fully propagate around the net, so you will not be able to access your domain by typing it's URL into a browser till it has fully propogated. 

DNS ERRORS
As long as you have followed the above instructions, and established that the name servers are correct, if you get a DNS error page, or other error after propogation is complete, please contact your website hosting ISP for support, UKTNET cannot help you resolve DNS issues when the domain is hosted on another ISP's system.
