Change Registrar UK Domains

Please Note: Under the Nominet 60 day rule a domain name cannot be transferred to another registrar if...

1. The original domain name registration is less than 60 days old
2. The registration has 7 days or less before registration renewal falls due
   

There is no charge or payment to transfer UK domain into or out of the UKTNET registry, and we provide a direct function in our Portal for you to use if required.

The procedure for changing registrar for a UK domain name requires you to insert the IPS TAG of the receiving registrar in the box provided beneath the legend 'Release Domain'.

Important:: Our system is directly interfaced with the Nominet system, and upon clicking the 'Release Domain' button, the domain will be immediately removed from your account structure because after release to another registrar, our system will no longer be able to access or modify it's records at Nominet.

Step by Step:: 

Log into the UKTNET Customer Portal https://www.uktnet.co.uk/portal/

1. Select 'My Domains' from the menu at the top of the page
2. Locate the domain you want to work with, and click the red 'View' button
3. Locate the Release Domain section (bottom part of the page)
4. Enter the IPS Tag of your new registrar.. e.g. Our IPS Tag is UKTRADING
   
5. Click tthe 'Release Domain' button.

Your domain will immediately transfer to the new (aquiring) registrar.
